Vladimir Florentin is a London-based visual artist with extensive experience in expanded photography and the spaces people inhabit. His work is deeply rooted in location-based projects. His research into gentrification in Hackney Wick Warped Space established his method as he explored through a detouring mapping of its space. As the creative lead at Displaced Materials Lab, Vladimir is dedicated to producing new strategies in photographic materiality and innovative interventions for installation projects.

Vladimir Florentin is a London-based visual artist with extensive experience in graphic design, expanded photography and the spaces people inhabit. He graduated with honours from the University of Westminster in 2021, researching gentrification in Hackney Wick through a detouring exploration of its space. His experience in community-based projects has led him to pursue collective endeavours and he is one of the founding members of DML. Vladimir has worked as a student supervisor at London Art Portfolio, guest speaker at Westminster University and recently was awarded residency space in the Setting the Stage: Photography as Object and Prop, site-specific workshop organised by Felicity Hammond and hosted by Lunigiana Land Art in Mulazzo, Italy.

Vladimir is currently the creative lead at Displaced Materials Labproducing new strategies in photographic materiality and innovative interventions for studio projects.
